Descendants of Johann Carl Schupp and Johann Anton Schupp are encouraged to attend the 78th annual reunion at noon this Sunday, June 22 at Immanuel Lutheran Church at Brauersville.
Family members will gather between noon and 12:45 p.m., with the meal around 1 p.m.
Tea, water and table service will be provided and each family is asked to bring a covered dish to share.
The Schupp brothers immigrated one year apart from Bad Ems, Germany to the Lake Creek and Haw Creek communities upon arrival in the late 1840s.
In addition, last year’s reunion participants chose a local cemetery, relevant to the Schupp family, for a community service project.
This Saturday, June 21, volunteers will gather at 9 a.m. at Lamb Immanuel Cemetery at 34957 Hwy KK, north of M Highway in southeast Pettis County, to clean headstones.
If interested in participating in this event, please bring empty spray bottles and soft nylon or natural bristled brushes to scrub heavy growth from stone surfaces. An approved cleaning solution will be available.
These events are open to all Schupp family descendants.
