A public meeting will be held at 10 a.m., August 8, 2024, at the courthouse in Tuscumbia, Mo. at which time citizens may be heard on the property tax rate proposed to be set by the Miller County Senior Citizens Services Fund, a political subdivision.
The tax rate shall be set to produce the revenues which the budget for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2025, show to be required from the property tax. Each tax rate is determined by dividing the amount of revenue required by the current assessed valuation. The result is multiplied by 100 so the tax levy will be expressed in cents per $100 valuation.
