Inspector’s Position
The Rocky Mount Fire Protection District has an opening for the position of Inspector. This position will be responsible for inspecting buildings and boat docks in the Rocky Mount Fire District to ensure they comply with fire and safety codes in accordance with the adopted international Code Council IBC, IRC, IFC, and the National Electric Code NEC. This position will also be responsible for assisting on fire, rescue and medical calls for service.
Requirements for this position are to have or be able to obtain firefighter 1 & 2 within 1 year, have or be able to obtain fire inspector 1 within 2 years, and have or be able to obtain emergency medical responder within 1 year. This position will also be responsible for other jobs the fire chief assigns and assisting in the general maintenance of fire stations and equipment.
