Miller County Midway Road
Culvert Replacements
Sealed bids for Miller County Midway Road Culvert Replacements, will be received at: 2001 Hwy. 52, Tuscumbia, MO 65082 until 10:00 a.m. on the 6th day of March, 2024 , at the office of the Miller County Commission , and at that time will be publicly opened and read. All bids shall be submitted in the form of a hard copy.
The proposed work includes the removal and replacement of 10 culverts crossing Midway Road in Miller County, MO. All replacement culverts are to be Gray HP Storm pipe, double walled with smooth interior. The project includes 450 LF of 18” Gray HP Storm Pipe, 42’ of 24” Gray HP Storm Pipe, and 46’ of 30” Gray HP Storm Pipe placement.

Contractors desiring the Contract Documents for use in preparing bids may also obtain a set of such documents from the Miller County Commission at 2001 Hwy. 52, Tuscumbia, MO 65082, telephone number is 573-369-1900 or at McClure at 107 Butler Street, Macon, MO 63552. Bidding documents will be shipped only if the requesting party assumes responsibility for all related charges. Corporate, certified, or cashier’s checks shall be made payable to shipping party. Only if Bids Exceed $75,000 will minimum wage rates for this contract be prevailing wage rates as determined by the Industrial Commission of Missouri. The wage rates are set forth in the contract documents, and are to be considered as a part of this Invitation to Bid.
The Miller County Commission hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award.
Contractors and sub-contractors who sign a contract to work on public works project provide a 10-Hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project.
A certified or cashier’s check or a bid bond in the amount of 5% shall be submitted with each proposal.
The contract, if awarded, will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder complying with the Conditions of the Contract Documents within the Owner’s budget. The Bidder to whom the awards are made will be notified at the earliest possible date. The Owner, however, reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any informality in Bids received whenever such rejection or waiver is in his interest.
No 2nd tier subcontracting will be allowed on this project.
