Contractor Labor-Concrete
The City of Eldon requests proposals from qualified concrete contractors to furnish labor and customary tools for concrete placement, finishing, and related work on an as-needed basis during January 1-December 31, 2027. The City anticipates multiple projects but makes no guarantee of quantity, minimum expenditure, or assignment of work. The City may award one or more contractors, subject to funding and City approval.
CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS AND COMPLIANCE
The selected contractor will be requested to provide concrete-related labor for individual City projects as needs arise. Specific work, site conditions, responsibilities, schedule, and deliverables will be established by the City in a written work order or other written authorization before work begins. No particular project type or volume of work is guaranteed.
Only individual jobs with a total anticipated contractor labor cost of less than $40,000 are eligible under
this RFP. The $40,000 limit applies to the entire labor scope of each job, including any approved labor changes; work shall not be divided into smaller orders to avoid applicable procurement requirements. Materials, equipment, mobilization, and other charges must be identified separately in each quotation. The City will determine the appropriate procurement process for work that does not qualify.
Contractor shall follow applicable City specifications, authorized work orders, safety requirements, and applicable laws including business licenses. The contractor shall maintain a safe worksite and coordinate scheduling with City personnel. No work or additional charges may proceed without City authorization.
Before commencing work, the selected contractor must provide certificates of insurance demonstrating workers’ compensation as required by law, commercial general liability, and automobile liability in limits acceptable to the City.
