REQUEST FOR SEALED BIDS

COMMERCIAL FLAGPOLES – CEMETERY

The City of Eldon is accepting sealed bids for the purchase (and optional installation) of fifteen (15) commercial-grade flagpoles for use at a municipal cemetery.

 

SCOPE OF WORK

Provide fifteen (15) complete flagpole assemblies meeting the specifications below. Bidders may also submit a separate price for installation as an alternate.

 

FLAGPOLE SPECIFICATIONS

• Height: 20 feet above finished grade

• Material: Aluminum or

fiberglass (must specify)

• Finish: Standard manufacturer finish (satin aluminum or fiberglass gel coat)

• External halyard system

STRUCTURAL REQUIREMENTS

• Flagpoles shall be engineered to withstand minimum 90 mph wind speed with flag attached

• Design shall comply with

applicable industry standards (NAAMM or equivalent)

• Manufacturer specifications confirming wind rating shall be included with bid

 

REQUIRED COMPONENTS

(PER FLAGPOLE)

• Gold anodized ball ornament

• Stationary truck

• Minimum 40 feet of ¼” rope

• Cleat

• Flash collar

• PVC ground sleeve

 

DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS

• Delivery location: City of Eldon (exact site to be coordinated)

• Bid shall include all delivery costs

• Estimated delivery timeline shall be provided

Bids must include:

• Unit price and total cost

• Material type (aluminum or fiberglass)

• Manufacturer and product specifications

• Wind load rating

documentation

• Warranty information

• Delivery timeframe

The City of Eldon reserves the right to:

• Reject any or all quotes

• Waive informalities, technical defects, or minor irregularities

• Request clarification or additional information from any vendor

• Accept the quote deemed to be in the best interest of the City, considering price, specifications, delivery time, and overall value

 

Submission of a quote does not obligate the City to make an award. The City assumes no responsibility for costs incurred in the preparation or submission of quotes.
