The Miller County R-III School District is currently taking bids to support our food service program for the 2026-27 school year. Prices will need to be guaranteed until June 30, 2027. The bid items are attached with this letter.
We ask that all products be Grade A caliber. In the event that you wish to bid a substitute or alternate item, please indicate that. We reserve the right to award bids per item. Fresh produce shall be firm and free of blemishes and insects. Quantities listed are estimates only and may increase or decrease with student participation in the meal program and receipt of commodities.
The Miller County R-III School District participates in the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program and is required to use the nonprofit food service funds, to the maximum extent practicable, to buy domestic commodities or products for Program meals. A ‘domestic commodity or product’ is defined as one that is either produced in the U.S. or is processed in the U.S. substantially using agricultural commodities that are produced in the U.S. as provided in 7 CFR 210.21(d).
