WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENTS 2025

 

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed proposals for the construction of the Watermain Improvements 2025, for the City of Eldon, MO, will be received by the OWNER until 2:00 p.m. on August 20, 2025 at the Eldon City Hall,

, where at that place and time said proposals shall be publicly opened and read aloud. Any bids received after such date and time shall be returned unopened.

. If you prefer paper copies, there will be a nonrefundable charge of $100.00 per set.

The Proposal shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check drawn on a solvent Missouri bank or trust company made payable to the City of Eldon, or a Bid Bond issued by a surety licensed to conduct business in the state of Missouri and appearing on the U.S. Treasury Department's most current list (Circular 570, as amended), in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid. The Bid Bond may be retained by the City of Eldon, as a guaranty that if the Proposal is accepted, the bidder will execute the Contract and file an acceptable Performance Bond and Payment Bond within fifteen (15) days after the award of the Contract.

Bidders on this Work will be required to comply with the Copeland (Anti-Kickback) Act, and the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, as indicated in the Contract Documents.

The Contractor doing the work must pay for labor at rates not less than those certified pursuant to Section 290.210-.340, RSMo. (1986) by the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations as indicated by the schedule included in the Contract Documents.

The award of Contracts on this project shall be predicated upon competitive bidding, with award being made to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. Said lowest Bidders shall be determined for each Contract by summarizing the applicable low base bids.

The City of Eldon reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all informalities in the bids. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days subsequent to the specified time for receipt of bids.
