The City of Eldon will hold a public hearing at 5:30 p.m. prior to the regular Council meeting on July 11th, 2023 in the council chambers at the Y building located at 1000 Highway Y to discuss the past performance by the City in carrying out the city's 2021 stormwater project. The project consisted of the replacement of the main drainage channel serving the city. Construction consisted of the removal and replacement of undersized concrete drainage boxes and precast concrete pipes with asphalt paving back to the existing service with the drainage channel rerouted to eliminate future flooding issues. Grated inlets along the system were replaced with curb inlets to allow stormwater from streets to drain into the system without clogging. Al interested citizens and groups are encouraged to attend the scheduled hearing.
