The City of Eldon will hold a public hearing at 5:45 p.m. prior to the regular Council meeting on July 11th 2023 in the council chambers at the Y building located at 1000 Highway Y to discuss the past performance by the City in carrying out the city's 2021 street project. The project consisted of street improvements in a targeted area bound by North 4th Street at Godfrey Avenue on the North, East on 4th St. to Walnut St., South on Walnut St. to 6th St., East on 6th St. to Grand Avenue to 11th St., West on 11th St. to Godfrey Avenue and North on Godfrey Avenue back to 4th St. Improvements consisted of 1.5 inch milling and fill to remove the damaged areas of the streets followed by 1.5 inch BP-1 surface course followed by an asphalt overlay. All interested citizens and groups are encouraged to attend the scheduled hearing.
