NOTICE OF ELECTION

Notice is hereby given to the Legal and Qualified voters of Miller County, Missouri, a Primary Election will be held in said County on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. Polls will be open from 6:00 A.M. (in the morning) until 7:00 P.M. (in the evening). The following polling places will be open for the Primary Election:

INSTRUCTIONS TO VOTERS: On receipt of this ballot the voter shall forthwith, and without leaving the enclosed space, retire alone to one of the voting booths provided, and vote his ballot.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MARKING BALLOT: To vote on candidates or issues/propositions, completely darken the oval next to your choice. Use only the marker provided to vote your ballot.

WRITE-INS: If a write-in line appears on the ballot, he may write the name of the person for whom he wishes to vote on the line and completely darken the oval next to write-in with the special pens provided.

SPOILED BALLOT: If the voter accidentally spoils his ballot or ballot card or makes an error, he may return it to an election judge and receive another. The election judge shall mark “SPOILED” across the ballot or ballot card and place It in an envelope marked “SPOILED BALLOTS.” After another ballot has been prepared in the manner provided in section 115.433, the ballot shall be given to the voter for voting.

NOTICE OF ACCESSIBILITY

FURTHER NOTICE IS GIVEN that, where a regular polling place has limited accessibility, a disabled or elderly voter may be provided an alternative means of casting his or her ballot. Such means may include reassignment to an accessible polling place, curbside voting, assisted voting or voting by absentee ballot. A voter may apply for an absentee ballot in person or by mail, or may have a relative or guardian apply in person on his or her behalf. Persons who have declared themselves to be permanently disabled pursuant to section 115.284, otherwise entitled to vote, shall not be required to obtain a notary seal or signature on his or her absentee ballot. Notwithstanding any other provision, of this section or section 115.291 to the contrary, the subscription, signature and seal of a notary or other officer authorized to administer oaths shall not be required on any ballot, ballot envelope , or statement required by this section if the reason for the voter voting absentee is due to illness or physical disability. In addition, voters requiring assistance may be assisted by a person of the voter’s choice.
