At the beginning of the school year, the Eldon Career Center had a new class offering for area technical students. Under the leadership of ECC director Erin Rohwer, with state grants, the former Power Sports Technology Center was transformed into a welding center, complete with the latest equipment.
The welding center gives students the opportunity for more career choices which provide good paying jobs.
The instructor for the program is Jeremy Buechter, who attended the Eldon Career Center when he was in high school and was also a graduate of the Missouri Welding Institute.
