According to an Eldon Police Department spokesman, an accidental shooting took place Friday, Oct. 13 with the suspect taken into custody.
According to a release, officers were dispatched to a home in the city for a report of a shooting that had occurred.
Through the investigation it was discovered that an accidental shooting had taken place with one male injured.
The suspect, a juvenile, has been arrested for his involvement and the victim is recovering in a local hospital.
There is no threat to the public.
